A 32-year-old Sidney man died overnight from a snowmobile accident on the shore of Messalonskee Lake. This is the fourth snowmobile fatality in Maine this month.

Jeffrey Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene after wrecking his Arctic Cat on the rocks along the lake's shoreline. He was thrown from the sled, said the Maine Warden Service.

Fisher had lost his friends during the snowmobile outing. He had a helmet on and was likely going too fast, according to WCSH 6.

This is the second snowmobile death connected with Messalonskee Lake this season. (See below).

The Maine Warden Service is investigating the accident.
