The West District RCMP are investigating shots fired through a front window of a residence on Hwy 103 in Somerville, New Brunswick, just northwest of Hartland.

According to a report, Mounties responded to the incident at about 2 a.m. A.T., on Tuesday and do not believe the act was random.

However, a 21-year old woman was injured in the incident and taken to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who has any information or who may have seen any suspicious activities or persons in that area at that time is asked to contact the Woodstock RCMP at 506-325-300.

The investigation continues.
