Sheriff’s Department Cruiser Involved in Presque Isle Accident
Two men managed to escape an auto accident on Main Street in Presque Isle on Tuesday afternoon, relatively unscathed.

According to the Presque Isle Police Department, 39-year-old Robert Thibeault, a Deputy with the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department, was driving south in a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria police cruiser when he struck a car that was making a left turn at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Police say the other vehicle was a 2005 Ford car and was driven by 21-year-old Taylor Lawrence of Easton. Lawrence apparently didn't see the sheriff’s department cruiser when he attempted to turn into the campus. Both vehicles had significant damage.
Luckily, both men were wearing seat belts and no one was injured.
