A close game for three quarters, SHEAD limited Deer Isle-Stonington to one point in the fourth quarter en route to a 34-22 quarterfinals victory in girl's Class D action from the Cross Center. 

The Mariners stayed close for three quarters, as a 3-pointer from Allyson Eaton at the third quarter buzzer made the score 23-21 and also gave Eaton her 1000th career point in high school basketball. Eaton finished the game with a team-high 12 points.

The Tigers were lead by Holly Preston, who recorded a game-high 18 points, and Cierra Seeley, who added 10 points, as the pair scored 28 of SHEAD's 34 points in the game.

#3 seeded SHEAD advances to face the winner of #7 Katadhin vs. #2 Washburn in the semis, while Deer Isle-Stonington's season comes to a close with a record of 8-11.
