Valentine's Day is fast approaching and several recreation departments from around Aroostook County will be holding dances for school children in the days ahead.

The Island Falls Rec is sponsoring a Valentine’s Dance Friday, February 13th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for grades 5 and under. Cost is $2.00 each. Then from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., the dance will be held for 6th grade and up. Cost is $4.00 each. All are welcome.

All fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, or heroes are invited to attend the Valentine’s Dance on Friday, February 13th at the Houlton Rec Department. The dance is for the females students of the Houlton Elementary School. The five dollar fee per couple will cover admittance to the dance, a picture, and refreshments. The dress code is casual, but those girls who want to get dressed up are welcomed to do so. The dance will be conducted from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A special event is being planned for the mothers/sons in May.

The Presque Isle Parks and Rec Department will hold their annual Father/Daughter Dance on Friday, February 13th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This event is for youth in grades K-6. There is a $7/ couple entry fee with pictures available for an additional $5. Tickets are available at the recreation center now and tickets will also be available at the door.

The annual Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance will be held on Friday, February 13th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Admission is $5 per couple. Photos will be available. Refreshments and music will be provided. Everyone is welcome.
