The second suspect wanted in connection with a kidnapping Monday in northwestern New Brunswick has been charged in Grand Falls Provincial Court.

Police located and arrested 37-year-old Parker Jacob Richards in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on Thursday. Richards was charged with using a firearm to kidnap the victim, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, uttering a death threat, injuring the victim's dog, extortion and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

RCMP said he will remain in custody and is in the process of being transferred back to New Brunswick. A 28-year-old woman who was with the suspect in Dartmouth was also arrested and remains in custody.

Police continue to look for 43-year-old Gilbert Thériault, of Drummond in connection with the abduction of a 62-year-old man. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Thériault Thursday morning. He is described as 5'6" and approximately 120 lbs. He has a tattoo of an eagle on his right bicep.

Anyone who recognizes Thériault is advised not to approach him and call 9-1-1.

The investigation is continuing.
