Seccarareccia 5TDs, Eagles Win ECFC Title

The Husson Eagles are headed to the NCAA Division III football playoffs for the first time in school history! A 41-21 win over Mt. Ida College gives Husson the ECFC title and the automatic qualifier that comes with it.

Coach Gabby Price and his Eagles the win means a perfect 7-0 conference record, an overall record of 8-1 mark and 8 consecutive wins.

Joe Seccarareccia(Bangor HS) threw 5 TD passes.(15-for-28, 206 yards, 0 Int)

Deon Wiggins(Bridgeport, Conn) caught 7 passes for 113 yards and 3 TDs.

Running back John Smith(Fayetville,Ga) rushed for 158 yards and a TD.

Total offense, Husson with 400 yards, Mt. Ida with 273.

Kenny Sweet(Deering HS) led the Eagles defense with 12 tackles.

Husson will find out tomorrow evening who and where they will play their first ever NCAA playoff game.
