Guy Tardif was sentenced Monday in Court of Queen’s Bench in Edmundston in connection with an investigation of theft and fraud conducted by the RCMP New Brunswick Financial Crime Unit.  He had pleaded guilty to two charges in June.

Police say Tardif stole over 250 thousand dollars from Suncor Energy/Petro Canada between 2008 and 2011 when he was the operator of the Grand Falls Petro Pass site in Grand Falls.  He also was charged with stealing $6,500 from the Department of National Defence while employed at the gas station.

Tardif has also been ordered by the court to pay restitution to Suncor Energy/Petro Canada in the amount of 250 thousand dollars.
