The scenario for each of these incidents is similar as unlocked vehicles, unsecured sheds and outbuildings as well as unlocked residences have been targeted, primarily in the Fawcett Avenue and Lansdowne Street areas of Sackville.

Police believe that those responsible are checking for unlocked locations, then quickly going in and grabbing whatever they can before taking off.

We’re asking residents to lock their residences, any outbuildings such as sheds and garages, always remove valuables from their vehicles and to leave outside lights on during the night to act as deterrents.

“It appears that whoever is responsible is travelling between homes and through backyards during the overnight hours so they can’t be seen,” says Sgt. Paul Gagne of the Sackville RCMP.

Sackville RCMP are asking residents to call police if they should see any activity in their neighbourhoods that appears to be out of the ordinary or suspicious.

Anyone with information about these recent thefts is asked to contact the Sackville RCMP at 506-364-5023.
