Rockland Cop Celebrates Winter By Sledding With the Kids [VIDEO]

I'm always impressed with local police officers find new ways to connect with their communities. We talk about it a lot with the Bangor PD's Facebook page. But one officer from Rockland Police is taking it a step further by hitting the sledding hill in uniform!

Officer William Smith took to his sled in the aptly-named Snow Marine Park and challenged some kids to a race. One commented to him that they didn't know cops go sledding!

The video is going viral. But all these kids know is that a member of the police department is a regular guy that they can have some fun with. Nice job, Officer Smith! Both with the kids and with holding that go-pro all the way down the slope!
