Remains Discovered in Fairfield Appear To Be From a Recent Pregnancy
State Police and the State Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the discovery of remains at a Fairfield home on Monday afternoon. The remains appear to be the result of a recent pregnancy.
According to police, Detectives were called to the mobile home on the Norridgewock Road Sunday and have interviewed the young man and woman who live there.
The remains, which were located in the adjacent garage, were taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta Monday evening for examination, said police.
That examination began this morning and detectives hope the results can help explain what they are dealing with.
