The South Portland Red Riots came alive in the second half, scoring 28 points en route to a 42-21 road victory over the Bangor Rams.The Rams opened the scoring in the first quarter on a passing TD from quarterback, Gary Farnham. The score gave Bangor their first lead of the season before South Portland rallied for a pair of scores to take a 14-7 lead into the intermission.

The Red Riots used a strong rushing attack to outpace the Rams, led by Zack Johnson, who scored a pair of long touchdowns from 30 yards and 56 yards respectively. Quarterback, Matt Crockett finished the game with 80 yards rushing and two scores on 12 carries.

For the Rams, Farnham finished the night 6-of-17 through the air for two touchdowns, including a 95-yard connection to Derek McCarthy.

South Portland advances to 2-3 on the season, while Bangor remains without a win at 0-5.
