Red Cross Invites You to Send Holiday Mail For Heroes

The local chapter of the Red Cross is asking you to help make the holidays brighter for those serving in the armed forces by signing a few cards at the Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle.

Each fall, during its Holiday Mail for Heroes program, the American Red Cross collects cards and distributes them to troops who are recovering in military hospitals, service members stationed throughout the U.S. and abroad, as well as to veterans and their families.

The Presque Isle signing will be held at Sears in the mall this Saturday, November 9, from 10 - 2. The Red Cross is supplying holiday cards for the event, or you may also bring or make your own.
