Reba McEntire helped honor former president George H.W. Bush at a memorial service in Houston, Texas, on Thursday (Dec. 6), performing "The Lord's Prayer" as part of the event. Readers can press play above to watch.

McEntire was one of two country acts included in the late former president's services, which were held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church. Just prior to her song, the Oak Ridge Boys offered an acoustic rendition of "Amazing Grace," fulfilling a promise that they'd made to Bush.

"It was an honor and privilege to sing at President George H.W. Bush’s funeral this morning," McEntire wrote on Facebook after the ceremony. "He was a great friend and leader and I will never forget the time we shared together."

Former President Bush died on Nov. 30, at the age of 94. His death led a number of country artists -- including McEntire -- to share their memories of him on social media. McEntire has posted a number of photos of the former president and herself in the days since his death, including one from when Bush attended the CMA Awards in 1991.

Thursday's memorial service was one of two for Bush. A separate service took place at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, on Wednesday (Dec. 5). He will be buried in College Station, Texas, on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University. The bodies of his wife, Barbara Bush, who died in April, and their daughter Robin, who died of leukemia in 1953, when she was 3 years old, are also buried there.
