UPDATE: The Sussex RCMP has identified the man allegedly involved in two recent shoplifting incidents.

On October 11, at approximately 3:45 p.m., police say a man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart in Sussex and stole a quantity of razors and over-the-counter medication.

The following day at approximately 5:30 p.m., it's believed the same man entered the Atlantic Superstore in Sussex and attempted to steal numerous bottles of wine and grocery items. When the man was confronted by store employees, he left the items behind and ran out of the store.

Police are attempting to identify the suspect. He is described as having short dark hair and a dark complexion. In the October 12th incident, he was wearing a black jacket, striped shirt, blue jeans and dark  sneakers. He was also carrying a red gym bag with "Goodlife" printed on the side.

RCMP said on Friday that the suspect had been identified and would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The man's identity was not released to the public as the investigation is continuing.
