RCMP Investigating Stabbing on St. George Street, Moncton

Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating a stabbing that occurred on Tuesday on St. George Street in Moncton.

Police were called shortly before 9:30 p.m. where a 52-year-old woman from Moncton had been stabbed along the street. She was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, a 46-year-old woman from Moncton was arrested in connection with the incident and is expected to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on August 6, said police. The investigation, which is ongoing, has shown that the two women knew each other.
