RCMP Charge Kent Man With Multiple Offenses And Attempt To Evade Police

The Richibucto RCMP has charged a Sainte-Anne-de-Kent man with multiple offenses after driving while prohibited and attempting to evade police.

Richibucto RCMP arrested 21-year-old Joel Gray at around 10:00 p.m., on Tuesday, but not before he tried to avoid arrest by failing to stop for police, abandoned his vehicle and then took off on foot along an ATV trail in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent.

Gray appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Wednesday and was charged with assaulting a police officer with a weapon, dangerous driving, evading police, public mischief and driving while prohibited.

Gray has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for today, June 15th, at 1:30 p.m.
