Rascal Flatts have announced the release details for their 10th studio album: Back to Us is due out on May 19, via Big Machine Records.

The Flatts -- Joe Don Rooney, Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox -- shared the news of their next album's release during a Friday (March 3) visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show; during their appearance, the country trio also performed the disc's debut single, "Yours If You Want It."

“There was a nostalgic feeling between the three of us while in the studio for this record, a feeling that was more reminiscent of our first albums,” Jay DeMarcus shares in a press release. “The journey we’ve all been on together is unreal, and I can honestly say I’m even more excited about what is ahead for us."

DeMarcus adds that Back to Us takes its title from one of the record's tracks, but it's also "a feeling that has been building around this new music." LeVox notes that he and his bandmates were "careful and deliberate" when crafting the project.

More New Albums Coming in 2017

"This time around, the three of us have been able to really focus and work together on what we want to say at this point in our careers," LeVox continues. "We’ve all been so energized by the process of making this album, and we still have a lot more music to make, and we still actually like each other … for now."

That last bit is a joke, of course, but Rooney stresses that the three "really do enjoy each other's company."

"I think the camaraderie while recording Back to Us has really lent itself to the spirit of the songs," he explains. "We’re so excited for everyone else to hear how much fun we had making this."

Rascal Flatts last released a new studio album, Rewind, in 2014. In late 2016, they released a Christmas project, which they were recording while working on Back to Us.

Back to Us is available for pre-order via Rascal Flatts' official website.
