Bangor HS junior goalie Derek Fournier has been selected in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League by Saint John. He was taken in the 13th, the 231st overall pick.

These days, Fournier is the starting catcher for the top ranked Rams baseball team. As Bangor's goalie in th 2015-16 season, Fournier was 8-5-1 with a 2.04 GAA and a .925%.

Oliver Wahlstrom, the son of former UMaine player Johkem Wahlstrom, was drafted in the 4th round by Cape Breton.

The QMJHL is an 18 team league with players ranging from 16 to 20-years-old. Teams play a 68-game schedule.

Players can keep their NCAA eligibility as long as they do not sign with a QMJHL team.
