Maybe it's because I'm older, but it seems that cancer has been rearing its ugly head more and more these days.  The amount of benefit suppers seems unusually high.  That being said, these events are necessary and really do help those that need it.  Like Sherry Mockler Young.

Saturday, November 16th from 5 to 7pm there will be a benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction at the Caribou VFW Post.  All money raised will help Sherry's expenses as she goes through treatments for colorectal cancer.  Tickets will be available at the door. $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.

If you can't make the dinner and auction, there will be a benefit walk for Sherry on Sunday, November 24th at 1pm at the Caribou High School track. Every little bit helps as Sherry will be receiving treatment and surgeries at least through the first part of 2014.
