Northern New England continues to see cheaper gas prices at the pumps.

According to the survey by GasBuddy.com, the average price at gas outlets in Maine fell 2.6 cents in the past week to $2.52 a gallon. In Presque Isle Monday, prices at most stations were $2.74, where they have not moved in over two weeks now.

Gas prices in New Hampshire fell 1.8 cents to an average $2.47 a gallon. Average prices in Vermont were down 1.2 cents a gallon to $2.59.

Meanwhile, the national average has risen nearly a penny in the last week to an average price per gallon of $2.52. That's down 8.3 cents from a month ago, but 21 cents a gallon higher a year ago at this time.
