Presque Isle Man Pleads Guilty To Bath Salts Distribution Conspiracy
A Presque Isle man pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute bath salts.
Court records say that between about June 2012 and June 2014, Andrew Grivois, 34, of Presque Isle conspired with others in Aroostook County to obtain and distribute bath salts.
On multiple occasions, Grivois ordered bath salts over the internet from China for personal use and to sell to other conspirators.
The defendant faces up to 20 year in prison and a $1,000,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office, according to United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with assistance from the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and the U. S. Postal Inspection Service.
