A Presque Isle man made his first court appearance Monday after he was indicted last week on a charge of manslaughter and aggravated assault in connection with the death of a Caribou man in November.

Maine Public Safety Department Spokesman Stephen McCausland stated that 22-year-old Jonathan Limary was arrested over the weekend by Caribou and State Police after being indicted by the Aroostook County Grand Jury.

The charges stem from the death of 44-year-old Jean Bragdon who was injured in a fight in Caribou on October 30.

Bragdon died on November 17 from post-surgical complications after being discharged from the hospital.

State and Caribou Police have investigated the assault since it happened and the Maine Attorney General’s Office presented the case to the grand jury last week.

Limary appeared yesterday in Superior Court and is being held at the Aroostook County Jail.
