Presque Isle Fire Department Dispatched at Pine Street School

The Presque Isle Fire Department responded to a fire at Pine Street School.

Fire Department Deputy Chief Adam Rider said that firefighters were called to Pine Street School at about 11:52 a.m. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene the fire was extinguished by a school official.

‘We ventilated the classroom,’ Rider said. ‘There were minor smoke damage to the classroom.’

Everyone was evacuated and there were no injuries reporter. According to the fire department report the fire was cause by a heater.

Pine Street School resumed with its daily activities after the fire was contained.
