Power Outages in Northern Aroostook County

Some 2,000 customers are without power in Northern Aroostook County this evening.

According to Maine Public Service Company, crews are currently patrolling the lines to locate the cause of the outage.

Towns currently affected include Ft. Kent, Cross Lake, Eagle Lake, Wallagrass, Soldier Pond, Winterville and New Canada.

Maine Public says the outages do not appear to be weather related. They are working diligently to fix the problem.

Customers are reminded to avoid coming in contact with any fallen power lines or trees near or touching them.
