UPDATE: 20-year-old, Jessica McNeal, from Caribou turned herself in and will be charged with Class A Robbery, said police. She will also be charged with theft and forgery for another unrelated incident. Bail has not been set.

The Caribou Police Department are investigating an armed robbery at Mike’s Quick Stop in Caribou, just after 11 a.m. Monday morning.

The 911 caller told police that the robber was female and ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Multiple witnesses reported the robbery and said that the woman was alone when she left the scene in a silver Nissan Maxima with Georgia plates.

After speaking with witnesses and collecting evidence, officers were able to determine the identity of the female in question as a 20-year-old from Caribou. A weapon and other evidence was recovered in the vicinity of the store.

Officer Kevin St. Peter and Officer Chad Cochran are continuing to investigate. Assistance was provided by other local police departments.
