Police have released the identity of a woman whose body was found behind a vacant house. A child who was playing nearby discovered the body. Police say foul play is not suspected.

According to Central Maine news, the woman has been identified as Carol Peaslee, age 44 of Windsor. Her body was discovered at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday by a little girl behind a vacant house on Longwood Avenue in Augusta. Police say it did not appear Peaslee's body had been there for very long.

The State Medical Examiner's office is awaiting toxicology reports before releasing cause of death. Those results could take several weeks. Police say they do not believe any foul play was involved.

Peaslee's Obituary in the Kennebec Journal shows that she is survived by two sons.
