The RCMP is asking for the public’s  help in locating an 18-year-old Fredericton man in connection with a drug related traffic stop in late December.

St. Stephen Provincial Court issued a warrant of arrest Tuesday for 18-year-old Nicholas Daniel Bain, according to a press release from Cpl. Jayson Hansen.   Police are searching for Bain in connection with a traffic  stop  on Route 175 in Pennfield, New Brunswick on December 26.

During the stop, RCMP searched the vehicle and seized over 5000 pills, approximately 800 grams of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine, as well as marijuana, a loaded handgun and body armour.  Two men, from Moncton and Stanley were arrested at the time.

Bain is facing several charges related to alleged drug trafficking and weapons offences.
