Woman Surrenders After Standoff in Crouseville
A standoff this morning in a small town just outside Presque Isle has ended peacefully. The incident began shortly after midnight when Washburn Police were called to the home on Flewelling Drive in the village of Crouseville just behind the post office.
A Maine State Police tactical team and negotiators were called in to resolve the standoff. State police tell us the woman surrendered peacefully shortly before 11a.m.
A stretch of U.S Route 164 between Washburn and Presque Isle was closed for several this morning while police worked to bring the situation .
