The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says that a woman called 911 at about 7:30 Friday morning stating that she had found her child unresponsive.

The five-month-old baby boy was pronounced dead at a Danforth medical facility after being brought there by his parents. An autopsy on the body of Mach-Danyel Richardson will take place Saturday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.

A short time later, the family’s mobile home was discovered on fire.  The Danforth Fire Department arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

Police say Mach-Danyel parents are Alan Richardson and Tabitha Osnoe. The couple also had a four-year-old son who lived at the home as well.

State Police investigate all children’s deaths under the age of three.

Fire investigators are likely to be some time determining the cause of the fire because of the extensive damage.
