The Hampton RCMP is looking for information from the public as police investigate a suspicious fire at Bates Barn in Long Point, New Brunswick.

The fire on Route 850 occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 15. Sgt. Dustine Rodier said the blaze completely destroyed the building along with equipment and supplies that were stored inside

Police have information that a car was seen leaving the area at the time of the fire.

Anyone who may have seen people or vehicles on Route 850 near the Bates Barn during the night of February 14 or prior to 2:30 a.m. on February 15 is asked to contact the Hampton RCMP at (506) 832-5566.

Bates Barn was built in 1946 and had become a popular site for weddings and special events.
