The body of 86-year-old Leo Corriveau was found at his home at 327 Houlton Road late Saturday afternoon, according to State Police spokesman Steve McCausland. Corriveau's relatives discovered the body and called the Presque Isle Police Department.

An autopsy at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta on Sunday determined his death was a homicide, although details about the cause of death are not being released, McCausland said.

Corriveau lived alone at the mobile home. A team of State Police detectives and evidence technicians spent most of Sunday gathering evidence at the home on the south side of Presque Isle and returned to the home on Monday.

Lt. Troy Gardner of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit said Monday afternoon that, “At this point we don’t have any specific information or evidence to suggest that anyone else is in any specific danger, but we have not made an arrest in this case at this point.”

Gardner said it is an active and ongoing investigation. He urged anyone who may have specific information about this crime or who has had contact with the victim on a regular basis to please contact police.
