The West District RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft over the weekend at a Tim Hortons in Minto, New Brunswick.

Police were called to the restaurant on Union Street Sunday morning, after staff discovered the office had been broken into, according to Corporal Brian Villers of the Minto Detachment.

A suspect is believed to have entered the store through the roof, gaining access to the office once inside the building. A safe was broken into and a quantity of cash was stolen, Cpl.Villers said.

The RCMP's Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Unit was brought in Sunday. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information or who may have seen something suspicious around the time of the incident to contact Minto RCMP at (506) 327-1820.
