Darci is a Caribou native and recently made her New York City playwriting debut with her play Infinitely Yours in the Planet Connections Theatre Festival.  It was nominated for five awards, including Outstanding Playwriting of a New Script.

Darci also staged two of her plays at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI).  She self-produced Infinitely Yours last October as a fundraiser for The Hope & Justice Project, and staged a 10-minute play called Just Wait in the 10 Minute Student Playwright Festival.

At Wintergreen, Darci will teach a 6-week youth theatre program designed for students to dramatize a beloved children’s book and stage it at the end of the session.  Students will be challenged to collaborate together to create a script, then build the sets, and create the costumes.  Throughout the program, students will gain experience in all aspects of theatre, learning the process of getting their creation from the page to the stage.

Darci is the founder and president of the University Players at UMPI where in just a little over a year, she put up eight shows — three full length plays, three Broadway Revues, one talent show and one 10-minute student playwright festival.  She studied playwriting for two years in New York City at the Off-Broadway theatre company Primary Stages' Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA).  In December, she graduates from UMPI with a bachelor's in Criminal Justice.
