Perth-Andover Fiddlers Featured at Presque Isle Elks Cancer Benefit
The Presque Isle Elks Lodge will host an evening of music and fun on Saturday, November 16th to benefit The Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
Highlighting the event will be the Wednesday Evening Fiddlers from Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, under the direction of Garold Hanscom. They will be joined by other talented young musicians including Maycie Kinney of Presque Isle, Chloe Wheeler of Blaine, and Madison Shaw of Mapleton for an enjoyable evening at the Elks Lodge on Main Street in Presque Isle. The program begins at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The Wednesday Evening Fiddlers have been entertaining audiences in Maine and New Brunswick for over 25 years. Members of the group range in age from 6 to 90. For years, the group has been a popular attraction at the Northern Maine Fair, where they have drawn capacity crowds and long ovations at the fair’s music pavilion.
You can follow the Wednesday Evening Fiddlers on their Facebook page.
Concessions—including pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and other treats and novelties—will be offered during Saturday's event with all proceeds benefiting the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
The Maine Children’s Cancer Program is the pediatric cancer program of the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.
