Personal Shark Cages – For Real? [VIDEOS]

We've seen a lot of shark videos this summer. Here's one that's gone viral. The question is - are these DIY shark cages the real deal?

The low down on these cages is they are made of PVC pipes and more a joke than anything else. The lifeguard got this couple out of the water for their safety - but not before it got the attention of the beachgoers and a viral audience.

It's not about statistics when it comes to shark attacks. Some things are just more captivating than other things. Even though most of us have never been anywhere near a shark (as far as we know), we all come together on how terrifying it is.
