Pats Open Pre-Season Against Saints [VIDEO]
After a few weeks of training camp, the New England Patriots will play their first game of the pre-season against the the New Orleans Saints tonight at 7:30 p.m. as the team readies for the start to the year.
The game will mark the first game in preparation for Jimmy Garoppolo to start the season as the Patriots' starter. The Eastern Illinois product will start the first four games of the regular season for a suspended Tom Brady and will be one of two QBs on the rosters that are active tonight, along with rookie Jacoby Brissett.
Brady, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski will all be out for the contest and will not be playing. The Pats and the Saints have had joint practices over the last two games in preparation of the contest.
