Overnight Fire Leaves Castle Hill Family Homeless

Firefighters battled a fire at a home at 433 Dudley Road in Castle Hill in the early hours Saturday.

The Mapleton Fire Department received the call shortly before midnight, according to Assistant Fire Chief Adam Rider.  Crews arrived at the home of Brian and Lisa Lovley to find it fully engulfed in flames.

The Presque Isle and Washburn Fire Departments helped battle the blaze and remained on site until about 2:30 a.m.

Rider said the family made it out safely. The home was a total loss.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire. We'll update with more information as it becomes available.
