Kether Martin was driving at a high rate of speed north on Rt. 162 in St. Agatha shortly before 1 a.m., according to Cpl. Corey Hafford. Martin lost control of her 2001 Honda Accord on a curve and went airborne, struck a parked car and then hit a garage, causing damage to the building, Hafford said.

Police determined Martin was having a medical emergency at the time of the crash. She was wearing a seat belt.

Martin was transported by Fort Kent Ambulance to Northern Maine Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
