On 9-11 We Pay Tribute to America’s Military Who Keep Us Safe [VIDEO]

13 years. It's hard to believe it's been that long since that horrible day when we saw terrorists attack the Twin Towers. In those 13 years, America's military has worked daily to keep our country safe. So, on this memorable day, I want to pay tribute to the people who risk their lives to protect ours, and a group who works everyday to say thank you.

Although this Budweiser commercial aired during a Memorial Weekend, it expresses to me the emotions that many of us felt after 9/11/01. A new appreciation for Country rose up in its citizens. We looked at our military, firefighters, and police differently. With a new respect. And we said thank you.

Bangor shows appreciation to members of our military every day through the amazing Troop Greeters, which this commercial always makes me think of. Thank you to all the men and women of the United State Military for dedicating your lives to our nation's security. Thank you to the firefighters and members of law enforcement for risking your personal safety in order to protect us. And thank you to the Maine Troop Greeters, who have been keeping this Patriotic spirit alive everyday for nearly 30 years and for making sure those soldiers know they are our greatest asset.
