Police say 34-year-old Christopher Crowe, of Oakfield, was operating a 2002 Western Trailer Truck westbound on the River Road when he lost control of the truck on a curve.  The logging truck left the roadway striking a utility pole, cutting the pole in half.  The truck continued through a private lawn crashing into a residence, causing significant damage. The impact detached the garage from the house.

The truck, owned by Sides Logging of Sherman, was considered a total loss.

Crowe was arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief. His bail is set at $10,000. He'll appear in Aroostook County Superior Court in December.

Crowe was taken by a personal vehicle to Houlton Regional Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.  There were no reports of any injuries to the residents of the home.
