For the first time since 1964, a Little League team from New York has won the World Championship. Maine-Endwell LL beat South Korea 2-1 Sunday afternoon. It is the first win for a U.S. team since 2011.

The team went 24-0 through its local play all the way to the world title.

The team is from a city of about 12,000 on the outskirts of Binghamton, NY.
