Northern Maine Rural Living Day to be Held in Littleton
Love living in rural America? Why not check out Northern Maine Rural Living Day on Saturday, September 12th in Littleton?
The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum located at 1678 US Hwy 1 in Littleton.
The event will feature presentations on Soil Health & Your Garden, Growing Blueberries & Raspberries, Raising Livestock & Poultry, Canning & Food Preservation, Buying Used Farm Equipment, Cheese making, Sustainable Beekeeping and more!
Youth & Family activities will include “Berries to Bread”,“Shake” your Butter, Making Cider, Seed Tapes, Jump Ropes & More! Ongoing Craft Demonstrations & Livestock Displays. Come and meet the animals and their farmers .
There will be a locally sourced Harvest Lunch available, served by the County Co Op and Store.
Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family.
