The state's spring turkey hunt lasts until June 4 all over the state. There are more restrictions here in the far northern part of the state than elsewhere.

Hunters in seven northern Maine management districts rotate hunting week by week based on their year of birth. Hunters with even-numbered birth years are allowed to start hunting from May 9 to May 14. They can also hunt from May 23 to 28.

Hunters with odd-numbered birth years can hunt from May 16 to 21. They were also allowed to hunt May 2 to May 7.

Northern Maine hunters are also limited to one bearded wild turkey for the year from the seven management districts.
