Musicians are people, too, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us. Unfortunately, sometimes it's on a much more visible scale.

On Sunday night (April 3), Nick Jonas took the ACM Awards stage with Kelsea Ballerini for a joint collaboration. The performance was a medley of Ballerini's songs, including first single "Love Me Like You Mean It" and current single "Peter Pan." While Ballerini belted the notes, Jonas played electric guitar.

But midway through their performance of "Peter Pan," things seemed a little bit off. When Ballerini turned things over to Jonas on guitar for his solo everything was going well ... until he seemed to forget a few of the notes.

The pop star addressed the issues in a tweet on Tuesday:

Despite the flub, Ballerini finished the song flawlessly, proving that even at big events, the show must go on.

Ballerini was also one of the early winners in the 2016 ACM Awards, taking home the trophy for New Female Artist of the Year.

"I don’t even know what to say, so for now I will just say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart," she posted to her Instagram account after the win. "For making not only my dreams come true, but for making all of the people around me who work so hard have so many beautiful moments to celebrate."
