The University of Maine football team returns to Alfond Stadium this weekend and they hope to bring a new atmosphere to game days.

First year Head Coach Joe Harasymiak announced that the team will be altering some of their pregame traditions and wants fans more involved during the contests by cheering.

Some of the changes include a walk by the team from the locker rooms in the Memorial Gym to Morse Field, while being accompanied by the UMaine Pep Band.  They also will add a new music pump up song after scores as detailed by Harasymiak in the video posted on the team’s Facebook page.

UMaine recently announced some tweaks to tailgating, including special parking passes and lots for VIP members.  The parking lots will be open three hours prior to kick-off on game days for those wanting to tailgate.  For a full list of changes you can find them here.
