The drama just gets more intense on CMT's Music City on Thursday (March 29). In an exclusive clip from the episode, some of the show's main characters are in flux as the show continues to outline the difficulties of life as an aspiring musician in Nashville's music scene.

Rachyl, Alisa and  Bryant discuss Jackson’s performance from the night before at a Nashville hipster dive called the Basement, which didn't go as well as he might have hoped. Rachyl points out that Jackson's new girlfriend, Savana, also made an appearance at his show, and Rachyl tells Alisa that she has nominated her for Nashville’s Most Eligible Singles List and a magazine wants to feature her.

Music City follows five main characters: Rachyl, Kerry, Jessica, Jackson and Alisa. Rachyl and Kerry are a young married couple, struggling to balance Kerry's schedule as a musician who is constantly on the road as Rachyl feels his absence while she's at home, taking care of their 2-year-old son. Jessica and Alisa are also aspiring country artists, searching for love while pursuing their dreams. Jackson spends works as a personal trainer while pursuing success in Nashville's music scene.

Music City was created by Adam DiVello,  whose credits also include MTV'sThe Hills, Laguna Beach and The City.

"Music has always played a huge role in the storytelling process of my past series, and with Music City, we’ll take that element to another level, as we document the real-life struggles, heartaches and drama of those chasing their dreams of stardom," DiVello says in a statement to CMT.

"Nashville is such an exciting city, and I can’t wait to share with the world the stories of this incredibly talented cast we’ve put together."
Music City airs at 10PM ET on Thursday nights.
