The cause of yesterday's explosion in New Limerick that killed an elderly man will likely not be able to be determined, that according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.


Officials say 79-year-old Budsen Anderson was killed when the storage building he was in, blew up on his property on Nickerson Lake, leveling the building around 2:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

Anderson was working on lawn equipment in the shed just prior to the explosion.

Several neighbors heard the explosion and called 9-1-1.
