Gas prices here in Maine went up, but fell elsewhere around New England.

According to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com, the average price per gallon at the pumps here in the Pine Tree State rose by a penny to $2.24 a gallon from last week. Most stations in Presque Isle were charging $2.37 a gallon.

Prices in Vermont fell 1.8 cents to $2.27 a gallon and New Hampshire's pump prices went down a half cent to $2.18 a gallon, on average.

The national average for gas fell 1.7 cents to $2.24 a gallon. That's five cents cheaper than a month ago, but is 3.3 cents higher than at this time last year.
