19-year-old Kyle Edmund Scott, formerly of Harvey Station, was charged with second degree murder in the death of Sarah Kennedy of Richmond Corner, New Brunswick.

Scott did not enter a plea in Woodstock Provincial Court Thursday morning. He has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance, October 29th at 1:00 p.m. Atlantic time.

The RCMP was called to Kennedy’s home on Route 555 Saturday morning after a family member discovered her body inside the house.   Police said Scott was arrested late Saturday driving the woman’s vehicle.

Neighbors say Scott had been working in the Woodstock area. Some of the suspect’s personal belongings were allegedly found in a borrowed 4-wheeler that had been left near the property in Richmond Corner.

The murder investigation continues.

Funeral services for Sarah Kennedy will be held Friday in Woodstock.
